“Floating islands of vegetation” in Saguaro Lake are posing a danger to boaters during low-light hours of the day, the Mesa Ranger District said.

The masses are difficult to see during sunrise and sunset and could be dangerous if a speeding boater were to hit one of the larger ones, said Scow.
Scow told boaters to “be alert and take the necessary precautions.”
